Ruth Allchurch is Managing Director of WE-UK. At WE, she is responsible for growing the agency’s digital, technology, consumer, corporate and health offerings. Ruth leads the 45-strong full service agency steeped in brand purpose and digital capabilities, as well as championing the agency’s independent roots and spirited and diverse culture.

With over 20 years experience both in-house and agency side, Ruth has previously won “Agency head of the year” (PRCA 2015) as well as a slew of agency and campaign awards. Ruth is well respected within the marketing industry and is a regular judge and industry commentator as well as actively involved in various trade associations including the PRCA and Women in PR, where she sits on the committee championing equality and diversity within the communications profession.

With a strong track-record within the FMCG space prior to joining WE, Ruth was client-side as Head of Brand PR for Diageo Western Europe for eight years, where she managed brands including Guinness, Smirnoff, Pimms, Gordons to name a few across 13 markets, working on a variety of high profile brand PR activations. These campaigns included Smirnoff Nightlife Exchange programme, the Tanqueray Gin Palace, Guinness Rugby Premiership sponsorship. Ruth also has extensive crisis communications and corporate reputation experience, advising c-suite stakeholders on risk mitigation and issues management.

An English graduate from the University of Birmingham, Ruth has lived in both Canada and Zimbabwe and her childhood summers in Kenya has meant that she is still a keen traveler today. When she is not on the road, she can be found reading and planning her next adventure.
